Zachary Taylor Gray

Zachary Taylor Gray passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2017 in Marrowbone, Kentucky, as the result of a motorcycle accident, having attained the age of 20 years, 5 months and 22 days. He was born on Wednesday, February 12, 1997 in Cookeville (Putnam County) Tennessee, the son John David Gray and Patricia Boles Gray. He was a Christian, having been baptized in recent years and a contractor in the construction industry.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Patty Boles Gray, his paternal great-grandparents, M.C. “Doc” Sr. and Patty Nell (Pace) Keen, C.W. Sr. and Dappy (Mullinix) Gray, his maternal great-grandparents, Hershell and Beulah (Rich) McClain.

He is survived by his father, John David Gray of Burkesville, his daughter, Hadley Mariah Gray of Glasgow, his paternal grandparents, Dudley and Becky (Keen) Gray of Burkesville, his maternal grandmother, Barbara Sue McClain of Celina, Tennessee, his brother, John Harley Gray of Burkesville, his sister Kalena McKensie Gray of Albany, his nieces and nephews, Alysa Moons, Cainen Moons, Livia Cree Garrett, Addison Kay-Lynn Gray and Jon-Sawyer Gray, several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The funeral was conducted on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of Norris New Funeral Home with Bro. David Irwin officiating. Burial was in the McDonald Cemetery in the Baptist Ridge Community of Clay County, Tennessee. The Casket Bearers were John Harley Gray, Joseph Gray, Daniel Gray, Josh Norris, Nick Smith, Brandon Moore, and Brandon Irvin.

In lieu of flowers, contributions appreciated to The Hadley Mariah Gray Scholarship Fund, c/o Citizens Bank of Cumberland County, 209 Keen Street, Burkesville, Kentucky 42717.
