William Marshall “Jumbo” Cole

William Marshall “Jumbo” Cole, 66, of the Howards Bottom Community in Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He was born in the Howards Bottom Community in Cumberland County, Kentucky on Friday, December 3, 1948, the son of the late William “Bill” Godfrey and Robbie Cole. He was of Christian faith, a U. S. Army Vietnam Veteran, a Mechanic for Manning Motors and a Farmer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Burr Cole and his sister-in-law, Janice Cole.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Wanda Cole of Burkesville, his sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Gus Kump of Louisville, his nephews and nieces, Kevin Kump, Spencer Cole, Katrina Clark and Raymonda Cole Bohn and his great-niece, Kelsi Clark.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, May 30, 2015 in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Cash officiating. Military Honors were performed by Monticello Disabled American Veterans Chapter 105 of Monticello, Kentucky. Performing the Military Honors were Larry West, Leonard Guffey, Anthony Atwood, Thomas Hammond, Michael Sexton, Terry Walcott, David Worley, Frank Dishman, Ronnie Fairchild, Dan Dishman, Ronnie Sexton and Bobby Back. Casket Bearers were Military Honors members, Larry West, Dan Dishman, Terry Walcott, David Worley, Anthony Atwood and Ronnie Fairchild. Honorary Casket Bearers were Dr. Todd Stephenson, Becky Duvall, Kay Appleby, Daryl Davis, Dale McClusky, Bruce Corey, Richard Smith, David Smith, Mark Hicks, Jackie Dicken, Lee Hicks and Tim Hicks. Burial was in the Burkesville Cemetery in Burkesville, Kentucky.
