Venetta Kay Parrish Jackson, 64, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, formerly of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at her residence in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She was born in Glasgow, Kentucky on Friday, June 10, 1949, the daughter of the late Eddie and Beulah Stephens Parrish. She was of Baptist faith and a home health care provider. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ivan Parrish, Dallas Parrish, Eddie Parrish, her sisters, Joyce Myers, Elizabeth Upton, Beatrice Vaughn and Lou Willie Anderson.
She is survived by her sons, Jimmy L. Jackson of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Steven Jackson of Clarksville, Indiana, her brother, Albert Parrish of Burkesville, her grandchildren, Katie Jackson, Jennifer Jackson, Shaun Jackson, Steven Jackson and Chris Jackson, her great-grandchildren, Natalie Ullrich, Dakota Jackson, Jacob Fry, Camryn McKenzie, Kaden McKenzie, KiLeigh Jackson, KayLynn Jackson and Brenden Jackson.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, February 9, 2014 in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Cash, Marlana Vaughn and Patricia Vaughn officiating. Burial was in the Burkesville Cemetery. Pallbearers were Chris Jackson, Henry Burgin, Brad Burgin, Steven Jackson, Richard Myers, Jessie Fry, Daniel Brown and Nick White.
