Roy Clifton Norris

Roy Clifton Norris, 70, of Marrowbone, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. He was born on September 27, 1945 in Barren County, Kentucky to the late Charlie B. and Jewell Bean Norris. He was a former trooper with the Kentucky State Police retiring in 1988 after 21 years of service. He also was the former owner of Norris Mobile Home Transporting, and was a life long farmer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Norris, and two brothers, Floyd Norris and Harry Norris.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandy McKinney and her husband Roger of Breeding and Sherry Spoon of Columbia, one brother, Carl Norris and his wife Myra of Burkesville, two sisters, Linda Norris and her husband Troy, and Teresa Garner, all of Burkesville, four grandchildre, Cara Gibson and her husband Brian, Casey McKinney, Katie Spoon and Jake Spoon, one step grandchild, Courtney Loy, two great grandchildren, Addison Gibson and Mollie Gibson, three step great grandchildren, Bryson Loy, Braxton McKinney and Zach Gibson and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday, March 6, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, Burkesville, with Bro. Roger McKinney and Dwan Hadley officiating. Burial was in the Marrowbone Cemetery with honors presented by the Kentucky State Police Honor Guard. Pallbearers were Casey McKinney, Norman Stearns, Tony Wells, Roger Goodman, Calvin Shaw, Jake Spoon and Addison Gibson.
