Quentin Elvis Collins, 28, of Albany, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 near the Cumberland River at Tearcoat Creek in Clinton County, Kentucky. He was born on Friday, March 15, 1985 in Livingston, Tennessee, the son of Michael Arnold “Mikey” Guffey and Judy Carol Dickerson Collins. He was of the Methodist faith and a drilling rig operator for Guffey Drilling Company. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Robert Dickerson.
He is survived by his father Michael Arnold “Mikey” Guffey of Albany, his mother, Judy Carol Dickerson Collins of Albany, his paternal grandfather, Ralph and Bonzie Guffey of Celina, Tennessee, his paternal grandmother, Barbara Gail Guffey of Albany, his maternal grandmother, Loretta Perkins Dickerson of Albany, his uncles, Jeffery Guffey and Shelia Collins of Albany, Felix Dickerson of Albany, Spencer Dickerson of Albany, Reed Dickerson of Pekin, Indiana, special grandfather, Tony Haggard of Albany, special aunt, Shirley Guffey of Albany, his special friend, Amber Rains of Albany, his brother, Junior Lee Collins of Albany and his sister, Melissa Collins Roberts of Albany.
Funeral services were held on Monday October 28, 2013 at the Lands Chapel United Methodist Church in Clinton County, Kentucky with Bro. David Stearns officiating. Burial was in the Lands Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Junior Lee Collins, George Claborn, Timothy Hearld, Jeremy Fryman, Todd Conner and Spencer Dickerson.
