Queen Smith

Queen Smith, 85, of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Cumberland County Hospital, Burkesville. He was born on May 11, 1929, a son of the late Simon and Ida Smith. He had been a coal miner.

In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his wife, Ida Beverly Smith, children, Juanita, Willard, Marie, Naomi, Carl and Queen, Jr., grandsons, Kevin Wayne Smith and Brian Jacob Fuson, sister and brother, Clara Asher and Brian Smith.

Survivors include his children, Ruby and Jerry Adams, Alice and Carl Baker and Glen Ray Smith, grand-daughter, Nikki and John McCloughan, great-grandchildren, Jordan and Caleb McCloughan, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Services were held on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel in Pineville, Kentucky with Bishop Custer Watts officiating. Special music was performed by Lonnie Smith. Burial was in Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro, Kentucky with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Arnett & Steel Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, Kentucky was honored to serve the Smith Family.
