Mickey Kenn Alcorn, 62, of Lexington, Kentucky, formerly of Burkesville, Kentucky and a native of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky on Saturday, June 27, 1953, the son of the late Dewey and Francis Tyree Alcorn. He was a U. S. Army Veteran of Desert Storm, a member of the Military Police and a craftsman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Anthony Wayne Alcorn and David Shannon Alcorn, his brother, Dexter Alcorn, his sister, Gwenda Hasty and his grandson, Dalton Vibbert.
He is survived by his children, Audrey (and Albert) Sears of Mt. Sterling, Tammy (and Jerry) Vibbert of Burkesville, Stephanie (and Thomas) Boles of Frenchburg, Jessica Alcorn of Burkesville and Tyler Alcorn (and Shelly Mobley) of Mt. Sterling, his brothers, Jerry Shannon (and Frances) Alcorn of Mt. Vernon, Ronnie Alcorn of Berea, and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, November 11, 2015, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Phil Leak officiating. Burial was in the Mud Camp Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. Casket Bearers were Tyler Alcorn, Jerry Vibbert, Thomas Boles, Bro. Phil Leak, John Moore and Greg Brown.
