Lovel E. Bryant

Lovel E. Bryant, 85, Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017 surrounded by his family.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, an avid fisherman and gardener. He finally retired after his granddaughter was born in 2000. He was a self-employed appliance repairman and a veteran of the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clury and Lizzie Bryant; and sisters, Helen Murley, Leola Spitale and Delcie Anderson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Hazel Bryant; two children, Kevin Bryant and Melanie Davis (Don); granddaughter, Annie Rose Davis; and step-granddaughter, Brittany Davis.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, Indiana, with entombment to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and after 9 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy can be made to First Christian Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
