Julia Duvall Lawson, 81, of Celina, Tennessee, formerly of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the Celina Health and Rehabilitation Center in Celina, Tennessee. She was born in Bakerton, Kentucky on Tuesday, August 29, 1933, the daughter of the late Gilliam and Sadie Hunter Duvall. She attended Liberty Baptist Church in Bakerton, Kentucky and was an Inspector for Puritan Uniform Rental in Louisville, Kentucky. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Lawson, her daughter, Glenna Owsley, her sisters, Dorla Duvall, Thelma Lawson, Colene Duvall and Stella Duvall, her brothers, Joe Sam Duvall, M. C. Duvall and Richard Paul Duvall.
She is survived by her sons, Allen (and Connie) Duvall of Burkesville, Terry Lawson of Fort Smith, Arkansas, her daughter, Karen Lawson of Louisville, 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Castillo officiating. Burial will be in the Liberty Church Cemetery in Bakerton, Kentucky. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2015 until the funeral hour on Saturday
