Johnnie Dallas Sheckles

Johnnie Dallas Sheckles, 71, of Albany, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, in Nashville, Tennessee. He was the son of the late John R. and Flossie (Thrasher) Sheckles Cook and was also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann DeLoach. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict.

He is survived by three sons, Scott (and Lue) Lovins of Greensburg, Indiana, William Sheckles and Johnnie Sheckles Jr. of Taylorsville, Indiana, a daughter, Teresa Richards, a brother Danny K. (and Carole Lee) Sheckles, all of Edinburgh, Indiana, a special friend, Kathy McClain of Albany, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, along with many other friends and loved ones.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, February 15, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home, with Pastor Donald McGill officiating. Burial was in the Five Springs Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky.

In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the Disabled American Veterans, Hull-York Chapter #5.
