James Kenneth “Kenny” Garrett, 51, of Albany, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at his residence in Clinton County, Kentucky.
He was born in Albany, Kentucky on Thursday, June 13, 1963, the son of James Keith Garrett and Elizabeth Royann Thompson Randall. He was a U. S. Army Veteran and a Machine Operator for the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Coy and Marie Garrett and his maternal grandparents, Roy and Willie Thompson.
He is survived by his father, James Keith Garrett of Albany, his mother and step-father, Elizabeth Royann and David Randall of Burkesville, his daughter, Dusty LaDawn Garrett of Albany, his sons, James Noah Garrett and Thomas Eugene Garrett, both of Celina, Tennessee, his brother, Roy Keith Garrett of Cameron, Texas, his sister, Shanah Michelle Pillar of Albany and his grandchildren, Codey Robertson and Hayden Garrett.
Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, November 30, 2014 in the Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Alvin Sells officiating. Special singing was provided by Betty and Donna Beth Cross. Burial was in the Maupin Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky. Casket bearers were James Garrett, Thomas Garrett, Larry Craig, Tommy Thompson, Devin Key and Phil Herrin. Honorary casket bearer was Chris Thompson.
