Jack M. Randolph, age 77, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2013 at his residence on Halcomb Drive in Somerset, Kentucky.
Jack was born in Oneida, Tennessee on Monday, February 10, 1936, son of the late Marion “Shorty” Randolph and Jean Lay Randolph.
Jack loved the game of golf. He had been golf course superintendent at Eagles Nest Golf Course, Somerset Country Club, Slate Branch Golf Course, Greenbriar Golf Course, Oneida Golf Course and Woodson Bend Golf Course. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was also a member of the Somernite Cruise Team and Lake Cumberland Corvette Club. Jack love the car shows and meeting other car enthusiasts. He especially enjoyed the shows when his son Mark was able to attend with him.
He also enjoyed riding his Harley. He and his wife Beverly made several enjoyable trips together over the past years. He was a member of Potters Place Church and loved his pastor and church family. Jack is now with his heavenly family and will be greatly missed by those who knew him. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Joan Ross Randolph and his brother, Gary Randolph. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Wade Randolph of Somerset, Kentucky, his mother, Jean Lay Randolph of Jacksboro, Tennessee, his son and daughter-in-law, Mark (and Sarah) Randolph of Knoxville, Tennessee, his daughter and son-in-law, Tracy (and Tony) Pence of Somerset, Kentucky his granddaughters, Jacqueline Randolph of Knoxville, Tennessee, Alyssa Randolph of Atlanta, Georgia and his grandson, Kevin Hawk of Somerset, Kentucky.
Funeral services for Jack M. Randolph were held on Saturday, December 28, 2013 in the Chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky, with Bro. Clyde Strunk and Bro. Jim Harris officiating. Special singing was provided by Rick Sexton. Burial was in Mill Springs National Cemetery at Nancy, Kentucky.
Pallbearers were Mark C. New, Rick Sexton, Bro. O’Neal Wade, Kevin Hawk, Bro. Clyde Strunk and Gary Miller.
