Imogene Lynn Black, 74, of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, Kentucky.
She was born in Casey County, Kentucky on Saturday, January 11, 1941, the daughter of the late Herman and Susie Jane Turpin Lynn. She was of Christian faith and a Seamstress for Sutton Shirt Corporation.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Gary Phillip Lynn, Paul Douglas Lynn, Phillip Wayne Lynn and her sisters, Roxie Louise Brock and Anna Lynn.
She is survived by her husband, Tom Black, whom she married on Friday, April 10, 1970, her daughter, Imogene Lee Black and her son, Thomas Black, Jr., all of Burkesville.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, April 6, 2015 in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Cash officiating. Burial was in the Long Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. Casket Bearers were Tony Riddle, Frank Brendel III, Sherman Scott, Tracy Daniels, Matt Dale Watson and Nicky Watson.
