Golden “Golda” Mae (Blythe) Bullock, 70, of New Ross, Indiana, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017, with her family by her side at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She was born to the late Millard and Ruby Blythe on May 5, 1947 in Tompkinsville, Kentucky.
Golda was the oldest of four children which included Faye Cooksey of New Ross, Indiana; Ed Blythe of Crawfordsville, Indiana and Annie Dillon.
Golda married James E. “J.E.” Bullock, currently of Burkesville, Kentucky in 1963. Golda and J.E. divorced in 2012. Golda was survived by her son, James Lee Bullock of Russellville, Indiana and his partner, Steve Patterson; her son, Benjamin Bullock of New Ross, Indiana and his partner, Tamara Bough; her daughter, Tena Barefoot of Camby, Indiana and her husband, Joe Barefoot; and her son, Justin Bullock of Waveland, Indiana along with his wife, Joanna Bullock. She is also survived by five grand-children (Austin, James, Brycen, Joseph, Jarrod, Reese and Mackenzie) and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her grandson Gerald “Little Jerry” Thomas.
It was Golda’s wishes that no funeral or showing be held. A “life celebration” will be held on May 5, 2018; details to be announced closer to the date. Golda was a vibrant and energetic woman who loved life and people; and she will be greatly missed.
