Glen Edward York


Glen Edward York, 74, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2017. He was born Monday, September 28, 1942 to the late Jessie A. and Mrytle York.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Robitson, brothers Elvis York, Carlos York, Jessie York, and three infant children.

Survivors include his children, Audrey Murphy of Burkesville, Charles York-Murphy of Burkesville, Melissa (and Richard) Lance of Noel, Missouri, Matthew York of Nesho, Missouri, and Mitchell York of Russell Springs, one sister, Ernestine Cape, four brothers, Willi-Ray York, Elvin York, Bobby York, and Curtis York, all of Russell Springs, grandchildren, Kiona Hadley of Columbia, Kai Hadley of Burkesville, Dillon Lance and Garrett Lance, both of Noel, Missouri, Matthew York Jr., Morgan Garrett, Alexis Mortsolf, Rayna York, Destiai Pinho, and Marcus York, all of Missouri, two step-grandchildren, Andrea Cheeks of Lexington, and Jacob Cheeks of Richmond, baby Adaline Hadley-Vaadez, baby Rebecca Cheeks, Kinsley Fish, Kayden and Kallie Cheeks.

Services were held Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at the House of Prayer Church with Pastor Billy Bennett officiating. Burial was in the family York Cemetery in Russell Springs.

Wilson Funeral Home of Russell Springs was in charge of arrangements

In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a memorial trust to go to the “Caring of Cancer Massage for Hospice” if anyone would like to send cards or small donation, mail to Divine Nature Massage, P.O. Box 192, Marrowbone, KY. 42759.
