Douglas Wayne “Doug” Riley

Douglas Wayne “Doug” Riley, 61, of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee after a long battle with lymphoma. Doug was born on April 4, 1954 in Cumberland County, Kentucky to the late Dallas and Betty Davidson Riley. He was a member of Cumberland City United Methodist Church, the owner/broker of Riley Realty and Auction Company, and a cattle farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Jones Riley of Burkesville, one son, Terry Riley (Laura) of Burkesville, two daughters, Tonya Rigsby (Jim) of Summer Shade, and Heather Capps (Jonathan) of Burkesville, three brothers, Donnie Riley (Lori) of Burkesville, Johnny Riley (Donita) of Burkesville, and Kelly Riley (Barbara) of Somerset, two sisters, Kathy Groce (James Pruitt) of Burkesville and Cheryl Gilbert (Robert) of Burkesville, seven grandchildren, Lauren Riley, Molly Rigsby, James Dallas Riley, Lane Rigsby, Kyle Riley, Callie Capps and John Weston Capps and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday, July 19, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home of Burkesville with Bro. Ted Burchett and Rev. R. Thomas Wilson officiating. Burial was in Gaines Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Scottie Riley, Jon Riley, Jeremy Groce, Wayne Shelton, Mickey Perkins and Ray Perkins. Honorary pallbearers were Jeff Vibbert, Cathi Capps, Jackie Norris, Lane Cope, Wesley Radford, Todd Morgan, Truman Morgan and Roy Wheat.
