Donnie Gene Thrasher

Donnie Gene Thrasher, Sr., 57, of Burkesville, Kentucky, formerly of the Hog Back Community in Clinton County, Kentucky, passed away Friday, May 30, 2014 in Cumberland County, Kentucky as a result of an automobile accident. He was born on Saturday, April 6, 1957, the son of the late Preston Thrasher and Euzell Keen Thrasher. He was of Baptist faith and a lifelong farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Tuggle Thrasher of Burkesville, whom he married on Sunday, April 25, 1976, his sons and daughters-in-law, Kelvin and Kathy Thrasher of Burkesville, Lonnie and Tonya Thrasher of Albany and Donnie Jr. and Sara Thrasher of Burkesville, several brothers and sisters, his grandchildren, John Allen and Gannon Thrasher, his step-grandchildren, Preslee, Adrianna and Barry Thrasher and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted on Monday, June 2, 2014 in the Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Cash officiating. Special music was provided by Debra Lee. Burial was in the Highway Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky. Casket bearers were Mark Coop, Wayne Tuggle, Lucas Thacker, David Mann, Kenny Abston and Ronnie Abston. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to help pay final expenses and they may be left at the funeral home.
