David F. Hunter, 55, of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday March 8, 2015 at the Dyersburg Regional Medical Center in Dyersburg, Tennessee. He was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas on Saturday, December 5, 1959, the son of Billy Flave and Mary Smith Hunter. He was of Baptist faith and attended Grace Union Baptist Church and a HVAC journeyman for the Lee Company. He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Flave Hunter, his paternal grandparents, Flave and Irene Woodall Hunter, his maternal grandparents, Guy Denton and Inez Fikes Smith and his mother-in-law, Jewell Holman.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Holman Hunter of Burkesville, whom he married on Thursday, June 17, 1993, his mother, Mary Smith Hunter of Royal Arkansas, his children, Devin Holman (and Sarah Cutshall) of Burkesville, Dakota (and Whitney) Hunter of Glasgow, Jacob (and Lily) Hunter of Edmon, Oklahoma, his sister, Nancy (and Brink) Meeker of Royal, Arkansas, his father-in-law, Grady Holman, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lisa and Johnny Corbin of Burkesville, his grandchildren, Kinsley, Brynlee and Hawkins.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, March 13, 20015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2015 until the Funeral hour on Friday.
