Charles “Chuck” Rose, 49, of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2013 in Barren County, Kentucky as the result of an automobile accident. Chuck was born on January 27, 1964 in Cumberland County, Kentucky to Estaline Dane Long Rose and the late Charles Russell Rose. He lived much of his life in Shepherdsville, Kentucky, graduating from North Bullitt High School in 1982. He worked at many grocery stores in the Louisville area including Kroger, Winn Dixie and Houchens before moving back to Burkesville where he enjoyed the last several years of his life.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alex and Opal Rose and Eular and Nannie Long.
Survivors include his mother, Estaline Dane Rose of Burkesville, three sisters, Teresa Rose and Susan Rose both of Shepherdsville, and Lori Spears and her husband Robert of Burkesville, nieces and nephews, Leanna Rose Valla, Kurtis Austin Spears, Rylea Beth Spears, Sean-Eric Spears, Aaron Pugh, Kayla Pugh.
His sweet smile and generous spirit will also be missed by a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home with burial in the Scott Family Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ty Staley, Bill Curtis, Patrick Collins, Arlie Joe Grubb, Randall Long, Nathan Harvey, Tony Harvey, Helden Adams and Craig Scott. Honorary pallbearers were Jessie Gilbert, Darrell Moons, David Moons
