Brenda Hopper Westmoreland, 56, of Celina, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at her home. Brenda was born in Marion, Indiana on May 23, 1958 to Nina Kerr Hopper and the late Ray Hopper. She had retired as Staff Sargent after 20 years of service in the Tennessee Air National Guard and a was a member of Cave Springs Church of Christ in Clay County, Tennessee. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one son, Willie Ray Westmoreland.
Survivors include her mother, Nina Kerr Hopper of Burkesville, her husband, Roger Westmoreland of Celina, Tennessee, two sons, Rodney Hopper and Josh Westmoreland, both of Celina, Tennessee, four brothers, Ronnie Hopper and his wife Denise of Moss, Tennessee, Randy Hopper and his wife Tina of Monroe, Tennessee, Terry Hopper of Burkesville and Darrell Hopper and his wife Teresa of Burkesville, one granddaughter, Mary Alicia Gilbert and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Kerry officiating. Burial was in Judio-Murley Cemetery with military honors. Pallbearers were Rodney Hopper, Josh Westmoreland, Ronnie Hopper, Randy Hopper, Terry Hopper and Darrell Hopper.
